On 9th July 2023 the Cobras travelled to The Warren for the inaugural Anderson Cup. Warren JFC invited sixteen teams across two age groups. The Cobras were unbeaten in the group stage, progressing to the quarter finals in second place. From there, the performances just got better and stronger, producing comfortable 1-0 wins in both the quarter- and semi-finals.

The final, against Bromleians, was a more tense affair. We conceded an unlucky own goal in the early stages, only for that to be promptly cancelled out by our keeper launching a drop-kick which soared the length of the pitch to evade both their defence and the opposition goalkeeper to bring us level.

That was the end of the scoring in normal time, so it was straight to penalties. Our penalty takers and our goalie thrived under the pressure and we won the shootout 4-1. Nice trophy too....
