CODE OF CONDUCT

For Managers & Coaches

“ We as a Club , Respect the right for every child to take part in sport in a safe friendly environment and therefore our coaches and managers  must, from the outset clarify with players and parents exactly what is expected of them and also what is expected from their Coach/ Manager.  ”

 

Our Managers & Coaches must

 

  • Respect the rights and dignity and worth of each and every person and treat each equally within the context of the sport.

 

  • Develop an appropriate working relationship with each player based on mutual trust and respect.

 

  • Place the well being and safety of all players above all other considerations including the development of performance.

 

  • Ensure that the activities they direct or advocate are appropriate for the age ,maturity , experience and ability of all players.

 

  • Not to exert undue influence to obtain personal benefit or reward

 

  • Encourage and guide all players to accept responsibility for the own behaviour and performance.

 

  • Adhere to guidelines and rules laid down by the Football Association .

 

  • Promote the positive aspects of the sport (fair play) and never condone violations of the laws of the game or behaviour contrary to the spirt of the laws of the game thus co-operating fully with other specialist ie referees/officials etc in the best interest of all players.

 

  • Not tolerate or use inappropriate language

 

  • Constantly display and maintain high standards of behaviour and appearance
